Join the Lawrence Henry Gipson Institute for Eighteenth-Century Studies for this compelling speaker series. Guest lecturers re-envision Professor Gipson’s emphasis on imperial history for the twenty-first century with a more global perspective. Scholars address the significance of empires around the world in the formation of constitutional ideas, administrative structures, and labor systems. Then join the Gipson Institute and the McNeil Center for Early American Studies for a joint conference, “Empires in Early American History,” this April.
